Texas Pools and Patios recently completed our new pool in Burnet, Texas and did a fantastic job. From the design work with Jared to the oversight of the job with JC, the whole experience was exactly what we expected and nothing less. The pool is beautiful and was built on time and on budget. We would recommend them to anyone considering a new pool.

Texas Pools & Patios are the worst! Echoing the other reviews that they are immediately unresponsive after the pool is installed. We had our own general contractor overseeing this project and he has not had any luck getting them to respond. After two years of Texas Pools & Patios not responding, he's having to use another pool company to fix the issues that they left behind. Keep this in mind that if they are unresponsive to a general contractor that has lots of business with them, they are going to unresponsive to YOU as you're just one sale to them! Below are the issues that we ran in to.
Pool lights flickering, not synching up and shorting out. Was informed by Brandy with Texas Pools & Patios to re-set the GFCI button. This repeatedly happened and they continued to tell us to re-set the GFCI. It took almost a year for them to replace the one light but it still continued to flicker resulting in additional lights going out. We continued to ask if it was a GFCI or electrical issue but their response was the GFCI was out of warranty even though the lag time was due to them saying it was a light issue and their slow response! We had our own electrician come out who informed us the GFCI for the pool kept going out because they had a 15 amp non-weather proofed GFCI and it needed a a 20 amp that was weather proofed instead! Safety concern!
One of the pool scupper left rust stains . The pool tile will now need to be re-opened to determine where the source of rust is coming from. Again, Texas Pools & Patios has been unresponsive on this issue!
A corner tile piece of the pool was poorly cut resulting in uneven jagged piece.
We should have seen the red flag from the get go. We received a quote from them on 11/30/2018 for a 17.5' x 31.5' sized pool. Understandably, the price had increased by the time we received permitting in 6/18/2019; however, they decided to decrease the size of the pool to 17' x 31' without discussing it with us. Fortunately we noticed it and had it changed back to the correct size.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - B R I.Wimberley, TX31012Mar 17, 2023Updated review
Stay away from this company and read the reviews. ON Facebook it believe the reviews are self written by the company.
This is a Follow up on my review in 2022.
This project still has not been completely finished. TX Pools and Patios just quit coming . Now we are finding equipment they used was NOT what was in the contract or what we paid for. They switched to cheaper and smaller equipment. We are now finding out when we attempted to change out the filters !!
No final walk thru, NO follow up except wanting money for work they did not complete.
Notice they want you to pay almost all monies prior to them being 50% complete and 100% of their money at about 75% of the job. They have no plans to finish what they start.
I believe the other reviews in this site confirms this company is not one you want to use !!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Sep 25, 2022Previous reviewI do not recommend this company. Great up front sales and design but horrible follow thru. Promised a six month completion date but 18 months later was still not done. Lots of excuses , delays, and no shows. Horrible subs hired that only spoke Spanish so no way to communicate if you do not speak Spanish. Project manager rarely showed up. Promises made never kept. They push for most money up front do they have no incentive to complete job. We finally had to clean up construction trash as they never did. Gas lines left uncovered and open for months .

About 2 months start to finish on our new pool. Clay was super helpful in getting the initial plans going and Kevin came in and managed the heck out of the project. Always coming around, double checking everyone's work, answering any and all questions or concerns. Not that there were many concerns

Building with Texas Pools and Patios was a great experience. Matt was fantastic helping design the pool. Thomas was a true professional overseeing the complete construction. We love our pool and would recommend them to anyone considering a pool.

I should have believed the reviews that I read. I will not go into details, because it would take a while. Had a bad feeling from the beginning, but did not follow my gut. Be careful for under bidding, and then asking for money later. I have pretty extensive knowledge on the process of getting a pool built, as we just did one about 2 years ago with Claffey Pools in Southlake, TX. This company was amazing. No beating around the bush, very attentive to detail, HONEST, and responsive. My advice, ask lots of questions, and make sure anything they tell you gets put in the contract.

All contracts have to be approved by an officer of the business for which your contract was neither signed nor approved. It's against our policy to sign any addendums separate from our contract when it contradicts what our contract states. We apologize that we couldn't build your dream project within your budget and we're sorry we weren't a good fit for you.
Sincerely,

The worst! Stay away!! They never completely finished the project. The plans showed a diving rock that they conveniently forgot to install. When we called this to their attention, they said they would get around to it. Well that was 3 years ago. There have been multiple problems with the pool installation, and they haven't returned for repairs despite the pool and parts being under warranty. Most recently, our pool pump cracked. Since this part is under warranty, we were told we had to use the original installer to replace the pump. They supposedly put us in the schedule only to no call no show the day of the scheduled repair. When we called the next day, they said "oh we are sorry, the technician got a flat tire". They said they would come in the afternoon the following day. Again, they no call no showed.
Avoid Texas pools and patios unless you want an unfinished project, broken pool equipment, and no one to return calls or complete scheduled pool maintenance.Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 1 - Nich K.San Francisco, CA01Jun 27, 2023
We have been working closely with Texas Pools & Patios with Jareb and Mike A. as our Supervisor for the last month and a half and they have been not only very attentive during business hours (and after) when we have questions, but have also been very communicative and professional regarding the process and expectations. Great company, great value, and committed towards making sure you end up with a great looking project! I highly recommend them and their services.

The team and Texas Pools and Patios are truly exceptional. Jareb Logan (sales/design) was informative, professional, and great to work with. He laid out the process beginning to end and was extremely understanding when our home construction was delayed several months. Our Project Manager JC is the best in the business. He was on site during every step, kept us updated, and took care of everything. The TPP team was very upfront and transparent about the entire process and things went smoothly. For anyone building a pool, I would give the team in the Cedar Park office a call.

TP&P is very lucky to have some exceptional people working at their company. I was compelled to follow-up on my previous high marks after our project foreman, Robert, went way above and beyond to fix multiple post-freeze issues that completely shut down our beautiful new pool. The loss of power for almost a full week literally transformed our pool into an ice rink, while the expanding ice in our pipes and equipment took its toll.
Despite TP&P's dramatic volume of repair calls after the recent historic winter storm, Robert came out to our house personally to inspect the damage, then within days, he and his team were on site. Within another couple of days, Robert had our pool up and running, even while we're awaiting a replacement for our cracked UV system.
I also wanted to mention that we were very lucky to have Michael & Tina as our TP&P sales pros. They maintained great communication throughout and the few minor issues that came up were handled with care and efficiency. They actually took the time to personally come by our home often, ensuring everything was going smoothly and that we were happy and our expectations were being met.
In closing, I just want to again give my sincere thanks to Robert for rescuing and resuscitating our beautiful TP&P pool after such a stressful winter weather ordeal.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Sep 10, 2019Previous reviewThis review reflects our experience with TP&P thus far. Our pool project is actually set to start in 3-4 weeks, and I'll follow-up with another review once the project is completed.
My wife Roxy and I have thoroughly enjoyed the process of working with Michael and Tina, from their initial visit to our home, then our fun and educational visit to the TP&P Design Center, to today's meeting with Tina and Robert to discuss final project details. Robert is our project foreman, who also spray painted the pool and equipment location onto our yard and explained what to expect throughout the project.
Our decision to go with TP&P, after checking out several local pool contractors, was based on Michael & Tina's extensive breadth of experience in the industry, their knowledgeable insights on various systems and designs, and ultimately TP&P's commercial-level equipment, materials and impressive transferable warranty policy.
During our visit to the TP&P Design Center, Michael's meeting provided us with a very interesting and informative understanding of TP&P's uncompromising high standards at every level. He successfully alleviated our concerns relevant to horror stories we've heard for years from friends and neighbors that installed pools with less-than proven high-quality commercial-grade equipment. Tina then walked us through each design element, made great suggestions based on our (my wife's!) tastes, then proceeded to create an absolutely gorgeous 3D design of how our backyard oasis will look upon completion. We're beyond excited!
As first-time pool owners who are just 10 years from retirement age, we want a beautiful, resort-quality pool and systems that will last for decades. One we can simply enjoy and create fun, worry-free memories with our friends and family. That's every pool owner's desire, so I certainly believe it's not too much to ask and expect.
Thanks again, Michael & Tina! And Robert, we're looking forward to working with you and your crew very soon!
